Growing up near Mt St. Helens, Gordie spent his childhood fishing for largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, trout, steelhead, and salmon. In the summers, he worked as a Wildland Forest Firefighter to fund his college education and also fished for crab in the Bearing Sea on F/V Kiska Sea.

After college, Gordie moved to Las Vegas and started multiple businesses. Despite his busy schedule, he often found himself driving to Utah to fish for brown trout, his newfound obsession. Gordie even managed to fish in 7 states for trout in one year, before and after attending conferences.

Nicknamed a Fishoholic by his business friends, Gordie decided to trademark his brand with USPTO. With 30 years of experience in selling hunting, fishing, and camping gear, Gordie started branding Fishoholic on Flexfit Hats in only 4 colors and 2 sizes. Gradually, he introduced snapback hats, hoodies, and tees to the brand lineup.

After 3 years of hard work, Gordie now has a team of 5 other Fishoholics helping him out. Fishoholic aims to provide high-quality items that allow fishermen to fish longer and in comfort. The brand represents the attitude and passion for the outdoors and the joy of fishing.
